Synopsis
King Il of Kouka has ruled peacefully. He absolutely hates violence and weapons of any sort. He has one remaining heir to the thrown; Yona. Yona has lived the perfect life, having anything she has ever wanted, that is except for her true love; which her father absolutely forbids. Soo-won, is Yona's cousin and childhood friend. She is completely in love with him, so much so that one night she tries to convince her father to let them marry. Upon entering his room, she sees her father and Soo-won in there. Not understanding what was going on she suddenly sees a blade sticking out of her fathers back and him crumpling down to the floor in a pool of his own blood. She barely escapes her home, thanks to the help of her childhood friend and bodyguard Hak. Together they must flee and try to raise a resistance to the one that killed her father and assumed the thrown.
